Networking Day – Saturday Nov 15th
A very successful event, with some excellent presentations in the morning and a lively sharing, brainstorming session in the afternoon, with much laughter and some very enjoyable singing!
Our thanks to our presenters Norm Inglis, Helen Wiltshire and Judith Raftery, to Pilgrim Pathways for a most delicious lunch, and to Mediacom for providing an excellent selection of books for sale and gifts for our presenters.
The presentations were not video-recorded, but our presenters have graciously allowed us to publish the text of their presentations for the benefit of those who were unable to attend on the day.

“Song for Nelson Mandela” (Tune: ‘Cwm Rhondda’, 569 TiS)
Now a mighty tree has fallen,
now the rainbow loses light,
tears of all the world are grieving
one who changed the wrong to right:
Refrain:
Give Mandela every honour,
all our hearts would wish to say:
thanks and blessings on this day!
Celebrate his towering spirit
fired to face his country’s pain,
celebrate the mind and measure
that no prison could contain,
Refrain:
Every nation, every colour,
live the truth to set us free!
Reconcile us to each other,
holding fast his legacy:
Refrain:
